TRYON—Tryon Daily Bulletin columnist Drew Hines has written a book published by the History Press entitled “Hidden History of the Dark Corner.” The book is a collection of historical accounts, anecdotes and character sketches from that section of northern Greenville County traditionally known as the Dark Corner. This is Hines’ third book. He also writes a monthly column for the Tryon Daily Bulletin called Across the Mountain.

Hines will be signing copies of his book at a special event at the Book Shelf Bookstore, located at 17 South Trade Street in Tryon, on Friday, May 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. Anyone interested in learning more about this fascinating part of our area is invited to come.
