The Foothills Music Club met on Thursday, May 9, at the home of Jeanette Comer. The theme for this last program of the 35th season was “A Sentimental Journey.”

To celebrate the 35th year of the organization, members were asked to present a selection they had performed when they first became members. All members present, from those who joined the club as early as 1990 to those who joined within the last year, participated in the program.   The varied program consisted of music from the 1600s through the 1900s and included composers such as Pachelbel, J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saëns, Brahms, Bononcini, and Copland.

The Foothills Music Club will begin its 36th season in September. Information about membership can be obtained by contacting Elaine Jenkins at ejenkins@windstream.net.
