On Saturday, May 11, at 10 a.m., naturalist Carlton Burke will present a program on “animals we love to hate” at FENCE. Many people fear and hate certain species of animals, largely due to prejudice and misinformation. Far from being pests or villains, however, many of these creatures are actually beneficial to man and play very important roles in the natural world. Assembled in this presentation are many of these animals that “we love to hate.”

This event is free and open to the public. FENCE thanks the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation for making this event possible.

FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon, North Carolina. For more information or to register for the event visit www.fence.org, email info@fence.org, or call 828-859-9021.
