Polk County bested Landrum by 18 strokes Tuesday in a dual boys golf match at Links O’Tryon.
The Wolverines finished with a team score of 172 to the Cardinals’ 190 in the nine-hole match, played with a maximum score of double par on each hole.
Polk’s Avery Harden led all players with a 1-under-par 35, with Piercen Edwards and Myles Menetre each carding a 45 and Tourin Jackson posting a 47. Troy Whiteside led Landrum with a 38.
“Piercen had one of his best days this season,” said Polk County head coach Pat McCool. “Myles continues to improve. Tourin was 6-over on the final eight holes, including a long putt on eight for par. We continue to get better.”
