Suspect in custody after shooting at Ashley Meadows apartments

COLUMBUS—A shooting occurred at the Ashley Meadows apartments in Columbus today, officials say.

The scene is now secured, and one suspect is now in custody.

No other information is available at this time concerning the exact time of the shooting or the status of anyone who may have been shot.

Ashley Meadows is an apartment complex located near the intersection of Hwy. 108 and US 74, just a short distance from Polk County High School.
