Antonio Simpson’s 100-meter win in a regional qualifying time led Polk County’s efforts Thursday at the Tri-City Invitational track and field meet at R-S Central.

Simpson won the 100 in a time of 11.14, besting the regional standard of 11.24.

His win was one of several individual event triumphs on a cool and windy afternoon for the Wolverines as the Polk boys placed third overall behind R-S Central and Mountain Heritage and the Polk girls took third behind R-S Central and Avery.
