Harden sizzles with record round in Forest City

Avery Harden fired a sparkling 3-under-par 33 Wednesday to lead Polk County golfers in a dual match with East Rutherford at Forest City Municipal Golf Course.
Harden birdied five of the day’s nine holes and defeated the field by six strokes. His score set a school record for lowest total in a nine-hole match per school officials.
Polk County recorded a team total of 245 to East Rutherford’s 204. Jacob Holland, Brandt Herndon and Aden Spratt all carded 39s for the Cavaliers, with Hayden Francis recording a 40 and Liston Spratt a 47.
For Polk County, Tourin Jackson had a 45, Myles Menetre finished with a 46, Turner Loveland had a 59 and Jacob Morgan posted a 62.
Also playing the course for Polk County were Addie Buss (54), David Duffy (56), Tanner Osborn (60) and Andrew Nance (60).
