The Tryon Country Club Women’s Golf Association had their “Opening Day” on Tuesday, March 26. It was cool and damp, but 18 players still came out to play. The format was a Captain’s Choice, with a closest-to-the-pin contest on hole #3. The winning teams were as follows: 

1st place – Becky Kennedy, Reid Toth, Ann Gargiulo

2nd place – Mary Lou Diekmann, Cindy Caldwell, Caroline Brown, Anne Connolly

3rd place – Claudia Law, Lib McKeller, Faith Weathington

Closest-to-the-pin on #3 – Ann Gargiulo – 8’ 11”
