LANDRUM—Conserving Carolina and the Landrum Library are inviting the community to a free lecture entitled, “What Lies Beneath – Animal Skulls in Our Region and How to Identify Them,” presented by Fred Weisbecker, retired NC Wildlife Resources Commission Game Warden. The program will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 6 p.m. at the Landrum Library, located at 111 East Asbury Drive.

Have you ever encountered an animal skull while walking in the woods and wondered what species it may have come from? Learn about skull identification and what clues to look for to help you determine what animal you may have found. This hands-on interactive program will highlight many different species and is sure to be fun for the whole family.

This lecture is part of Conserving Carolina’s monthly Speaker Series at the Landrum Library, and it is made possible thanks to the Landrum Library. The next program at the Landrum Library will be held on April 16, when naturalist and historian Dennis Chastain will present “Historic Native American Paths and a Revolutionary Battle Site in the Landrum Area.”
