Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Tryon will be holding a service of choral evensong on Sunday, March 3, at 4 p.m. 

The service will be led by the Holy Cross Evensong Choir, which is an ensemble of Holy Cross church and community members. The Rev. Mollie Douglas Turner will be the officiant and Dr. Brennan Szafron will be the organist and choirmaster. 

Music for the service will be sung in observance of the Lenten season and will be subdued but beautiful. The choir will sing the Tryon Responses by Richard Shephard, an evening service adapted from the music of Henry Purcell, and “Let Nothing Ever Grieve Thee” by Johannes Brahms. All are welcome.
