SALUDA – Doyace “Dutch” Leron Perrin, Jr., 78, of Saluda, passed away, Saturday afternoon, February 10, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Columbus.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Doyace Leron Perrin, Sr. and Edna Brown Perrin. Dutch was a veteran of the United States Army having served during Vietnam. After his service to his country, Dutch went on to work as a Helicopter Mechanic. Dutch was a devoted grandfather, who loved football and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Dimattia; and a brother, Steve Perrin.

Surviving is his wife of fifty years, Sharon Fletcher Perrin; one son, Doyace L. Parrin, III of Saluda; one daughter, Tammy Dimattia of Hendersonville; one sister, Linda Sance (Larry) of Hendersonville; five grandchildren, Haley Perrin, Britney Bradley, Sarah Perrin, Ezekiel Ballard, and Micheal Dimattia; four great-grandchildren, Tucker Lewis, Spencer Lewis, Christopher Perrin and Abel Bradley; six step-grandchildren, Alyssa Nelson, Katlyn Berg, Jax Berg, Miles Dimattia, Jade Dimattia and Violet Dimattia.

A celebration of Dutch’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Beulah Baptist Church in Tryon.

Following the service, the family will gather in the fellowship hall for refreshments.

Military Honors will be conducted by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
