SUNNY VIEW— William “Andy” Metcalf, 74, of Sunny View, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 23, 2024, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum.

A native and lifelong resident of Polk County, Andy was the son of the late Elbert Metcalf and Addie Bradley Metcalf. Andy was a 1967 graduate of Polk Central High School. Following graduation, he went onto to work in the residential building industry. For many years, he built many homes in Polk County. Later, Andy and his son Mark did Home Inspections. Andy had a talent for singing and loved to karaoke every chance he could. He was an avid hunter, loved cars, a jack of all trades and was always willing to help anyone in need. Andy was a member of Big Level Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Hudson; two brothers, Sanford Metcalf and R.C. Metcalf.

Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Judy Price Metcalf; one son, Mark Metcalf (Chastity) of Sunny View; two grandsons, Nathan Metcalf and Brandon Metcalf; one brother, Hubert Metcalf (Ann) of Green Creek; three sisters, Winnell Bailey of Sunny View, Rachel Hodge of Sunny View and Lucille Greene of Myrtle Beach.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel with Dr. Tim Metcalf officiating.

Burial will follow in Big Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
