PCVC 16U wins title at K2 Club Clash

Polk County Volleyball Club’s 16U squad took top honors Sunday at the K2 Club Clash in Knoxville.
The squad, coached by Heather Drumheller, finished 5-0 in the two-day tournament at Knoxville Convention Center.
PCVC 16U defeated Carolina Union Volleyball Club 16 IT Dani of Charlotte in a three-set match in pool play, then met CUVC again in the championship match, this time taking a 25-15, 25-15 victory. PCVC lost just two sets during the weekend.
PCVC enjoyed a successful weekend from all teams at the Club Clash. Its 12U squad took first place in the Silver bracket, going 3-2. The team capped the weekend with a 25-14, 25-11 victory over A5 Chattanooga in the Silver final.
PCVC 13U took third overall in its class while PCVC 14U placed eighth overall out of 20 teams, posting a 4-2 record for the weekend, and PCVC 15U finished 11th out of 23 teams.
