Saturday proved another successful day for Wolverine Wrestling Club.

The team brought home a pair of first-place finishes as well as the Boys Division Championship at the USA Wrestling 2024 Hot Rod Blowout in Greensboro.

“It was an early morning, but we wrestled some tough competition and walked away with a team trophy,” said WWC coach Russell Wilson. “Everyone wrestled well, and when we can bring wrestlers from elementary through middle school, we have more fun. The young guys really look up to the older wrestlers and have fun watching them compete.

Chester Wilson won the Middle School 160-170 class while Hudson Hyde brought home the Middle School 250 trophy.
