On Tuesday, January 9, investigators with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of sexual misconduct allegations involving Jesse Bernard Floyd, 23. After a thorough investigation, officials determined that Floyd traveled to North Carolina from Greer to have sexual relations with a juvenile.

These facts were presented to a magistrate and an arrest warrant was issued for Floyd, who was later arrested without incident and charged with indecent liberties with a child, a statutory sex offense with a 13 to 15-year-old, disseminating obscene material to a minor under 16 years of age and soliciting a child by computer.

Floyd is currently being held in the Polk County Detention Center under a $120,000 bond.

The investigation has been turned over to the 42nd District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
