Former Polk County golfer Reilly Yoder took fifth place in the Florida Winter Amateur golf tourney held Jan. 3-5 at Royal St. Cloud Golf Club as part of the College Tour X series.

College Tour X offers tournaments for college golfers to keep their games sharp between seasons. The CTX series is largely held at courses throughout the South, with Royal St. Cloud in St. Cloud, Fla.

Yoder, who is a freshman player at Virginia-Wise, had a three-day total of 2-under-par 214. He opened the tourney with a 68, sharing the first-round lead, before posting back-to-back 73s.
