Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Rotary Club of Tryon was very excited to add Michael Baughman as a new member at the end of December. During the induction ceremony, Rotarian Art Brown filled in for Michael’s sponsor, Rotarian John Gargiulo.

During the ceremony, Michael spoke about the visit he had from Rotarian John Gargiulo.

“He came to my office and gave a very passionate appeal about why I needed to join the Rotary Club of Tryon. John’s passion for Tryon and the Rotary Club made me decide it was time to join the Club.” Michael said. “My father was a Sertoma Club member and instilled in me the responsibility to serve the community where I live. Through the Rotary Club of Tryon, I will work to live the Rotary motto, Service Above Self.”
