On the first Thursday of every month, Thermal Belt Habitat for Humanity invites the public to share a cup of coffee and hear how the organization is confronting the affordable housing crisis in Polk County and Landrum.

The next ‘Coffee with a Purpose’ event will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, at Cardinal Coffee and Bistro in downtown Landrum. Cardinal Coffee and Bistro in Landrum is located at 114 E. Rutherford St.

“Collaboration is the hallmark of all great endeavors and together we can work to preserve, strengthen, and secure safe, affordable housing and the opportunity it represents for so many families in our community,” said Linda Corns, Director of Restore Operations for Habitat. “Together we can build homes, communities and hope!”
