Columbus— Reverend Warren Lewis Elliott, 83, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital.

He was born in Murphy, North Carolina and he was the son of the late Berdell Elliott Singleton.  He attended Fruitland Baptist Bible College and pastored churches in North Carolina and Florida for 56 years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Warnock, mother, Berdell Singleton, and brother, James Singleton.

Surviving is his wife, Thelma Pitts Elliott, children: Dewayne Elliott (Cathy), Dean Elliott (Lynn), Darrell Elliott (Crystal), Regina Darly (Randy), Carla Walters (Darren), twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. His siblings include Kay Booher (Randy), Shirley Canipe (Steve), and Doug Singleton.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2023, in McFarland Chapel, Tryon, North Carolina with Reverend Dean Elliott and Reverend J.D. Grant officiating.

The graveside service will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, North Carolina with Reverend Randy Darley and Reverend Todd Lawter officiating.
