Willow Home and Interiors holds grand opening 

 

LANDRUM—Landrum has a new option for home design and decoration with the grand opening of Willow Home and Interiors on Friday, December 15. 

First opening on Wednesday, December 6, the interior design business offers wallpaper and paint from many brands, solid-maple hardwood furniture, window shades, drapes, shutters and more. In-store items also include bath and relaxation products such as body butters and bath bombs, bathroom towels and mats, gifts, candles and local art.

Owner Donald Burroughs also offers his expertise in interior design and space planning, lighting, rugs and anything one may want for their home. Burroughs services include in-home visits for consultation, and arrangements for subcontracting work for home design, if needed.

Burroughs, originally of Athens, GA, moved to Landrum two years ago. A self-taught interior designer with seven years of experience under his belt, Burroughs had always dreamed of owning his own home design business, and named the new location for his and his grandmother’s shared love of willow trees. 

“They’re so free flowing and kind of do whatever they want. So why not be able to do that here?” Burroughs said. “Interior design means to just be free flowing and have it any way you want it.”

Burroughs also stated how excited he is to bring his unique specialty services to Landrum and the surrounding area. 

“There are a lot of people in Landrum with bigger homes, nice homes. And there are new neighborhoods coming here,” he said. “So it was a better time to just go ahead and do it and be able to offer custom furniture and wallpaper.”

Burroughs says he wants to bring “something to make people live better” to Landrum.

“Everybody goes home at the end of the day,” he added. “Everyone should be relaxed at home, you should be happiest at home.”

Willow Home and Interiors’ December 15 grand opening featured an evening of wine, snacks, a raffle giveaway of two chairs, special discount prices and more.
