Viola Suber inducted into the Second Wind Hall of Fame

St. Luke CME Church nominated Viola Suber for induction into the Second Wind Hall of Fame and the Board of Second Wind Hall of Fame accepted the nomination. Viola was officially inducted at services of the St. Luke CME Church by Frances Wray, Board member of Second Wind. 

Viola has volunteered in several organizations and special events. Her work ethic is beyond the norm. Viola has volunteered for over 20 years. She currently serves as the church’s treasurer and is a member of the church choir, and has served in many capacities with the church over the years. She has been involved with the Tryon Elementary School PTA, and she volunteers with Hospice coordinating outreach boxes of food and personal care items for individuals in Hospice care.  

Viola represents St. Luke CME Church as a delegate at various Regional and National Church Conferences related to the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She serves as a Girl Scout Leader and a 4H Advisor. She is one who has demonstrated service beyond themselves because of her desire to help others and to enhance her community,

The mission of Second Wind is to identify those outstanding volunteers who contribute so much to the quality of life in our community and to provide recognition of retirees sixty years and over who have had a useful and productive life continuing beyond retirement, while others paused to rest. They caught a SECOND WIND and began a new career of service to the community and to mankind.

Second Wind Hall of Fame is a 501(c)(3) organization and welcomes nominations for induction.  Requests for nomination forms may be sent to carolbrowning72@gmail.com.
