Sizemore Gymnastics Academy competes in Cornelius

Sizemore Gymnastics Academy competed at USAG’s compulsory state competition for levels 2-5 in Cornelius, N.C., on December 9 and December 10.

Dakota DuPre, Averi Key, Serenity Lindsey, Bella Quinn, Esmé Quinn and Skyla Williams represented SGA at USAG Level 2, and Phoebe Aldrich, Kendall Medina, Aria Springs and Josephine Wallace competed at the USAG level 3. Genevieve Ard and Kylie Whitinger participated at USAG level 4.

From SGA’s Level 2 team, Dakota raised her all-around over a full point from last competition to 34.125 from her 8.875 on beam, 8.8 on bars, 8.4 on floor and 8.05 on vault. Averi also raised her all-around from last competition to 34.225 from her 8.9 on floor, 8.825 on vault, 8.475 on beam and 8.025 on bars. Serenity continued to improve by raising her all around score to 33.2 from her 8.7 on vault, 8.325 on beam, 8.1 on floor and 8.075 on bars. Bella received 34.3 all-around from her 7th on floor with 8.8, 8.675 on beam, 8.65 on vault and 8.175 on bars. Esmé improved her all-around from last competition to 33.85 from her 8.825 on vault, 8.65 on beam, 8.275 on bars and 8.1 on floor. Skyla received 32.425 from her 8.7 on vault, 8.35 on beam, 7.75 on floor and 7.625 on bars.

In terms of SGA’s level 3 team, Phoebe raised her all-around to 34.975 from her 9.075 on vault, 8.95 on floor, 8.475 on beam and 8.475 on bars. Kendall received 31.975 from her 9.2 on vault, 7.8 on floor, 7.675 on beam and 7.3 on bars. Aria got 33.25 all-around from her 9.15 on vault, 8.275 on beam, 7.925 on bars and 7.9 on floor. Josephine raised her all-around by over a point to 33.925 from her improved vault of 9.125, improved bars of 8.45, 8.2 on floor and improved beam of 8.15.

In terms of SGA’s Level 4 team, Genevieve received 35.025 all-around from her 9.1 on vault, 9.1 on floor, 8.45 on beam and 8.375 on bars. Kylie received 33.55 from her 8.55 on floor, 8.375 on beam, 8.35 on vault and 8.275 on bar.

SGA will compete next on January 6 and January 7.
