School counselors coordinated the creation of almost 1,000 cards for active military members, veterans and service families as part of the Holiday Card Challenge. 

The primary goal of the Holiday Card Challenge is the collection of cards expressing respect, caring and gratitude for those in our nation’s military. The cards are distributed to let service members know that they are not alone during the winter holiday season and throughout the year.

Thanks to a grant from Polk County Community Foundation, school counselors are collaborating on projects such as this to support the mental well-being of students by involving them in activities that uplift others.
