The Polk County Historical Museum’s annual “Christmas Memories and Music” program will be held Tuesday, December 12 at 2 p.m. inside the museum in downtown Columbus. This community offering is one of the Historical Association’s most popular programs each year.
The program will feature live music performed on banjo, dulcimer, mandolin and guitar. In addition to having some of your favorite holiday tunes, there will be special Christmas memories of growing up in Polk County. The event will be moderated by board member and volunteer James Metcalf. The program will feature Rev. Jessie Yarboro, Jim and Elizabeth Metcalf, Briar and James McDowell and other guests.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend this seasonal favorite event. Folks who attend will receive a special gift for attending. While you are in the museum, visit the gift shop for the history lovers in your family.
