TRYON–Mary Owens Key, 86, of Tryon passed away on November 29, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Colette and Cora Lee McMurray Owens.

Mary worked many places over the years before retiring. She was a wonderful hospitality specialist everywhere she worked.

She is survived by three sons, Billy Wall, Tony Key and Gene Key; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter Ann Shockley; a sister Molly Owens and two brothers Charles and Calvin Owens.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday December 5, 2023, at New Hope United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. David Locke. The church address is 4251 Chesnee Road, Rutherfordton, NC, 28139.
