A Pisgah team that reached the 3A Sweet 16 last season showed that same potential Wednesday, running past Polk County 71-43 in a non-conference matchup in Canton.

The Bears improved to 3-0 this season, with the Wolverines falling to 1-2.

Pisgah raced to a 41-11 halftime lead as eight different players scored in the first two quarters. A 21-2 run in the second period effectively sealed the outcome, giving Pisgah its halftime advantage.
