The Rotary Club of Tryon was excited to add Lisa Bell as a new member last week. President Allan Purtill presided over the induction ceremony that made Bell the 55th official member of the Rotary Club of Tryon.

Lisa and her husband, Shawn, moved to the area in late 2022 after she retired from a successful legal career in the Charlotte area. Bell started her career as a lawyer, then was elected as a District Court Judge. She moved on to become a Chief District Court Judge and a Special Superior Court Judge, and in 2014 Gov. McCrory appointed her to the Court of Appeals. When she retired, Bell was serving on the Superior Court bench as a Resident Judge in Mecklenburg County.

The Club is excited to welcome Lisa as a new member. The Rotary Club of Tryon meets every Thursday at the Tryon Presbyterian Church. If interested in joining the Club, contact President Allan Purtill at revallanpurtill@gmail.com or 704-576-2463.
