Sliders and Cider Fundraiser and Holiday Market event on November 25.

The goal of the event is to raise funds for two $2,000 scholarships to be awarded to Polk County students graduating in 2024. The event will feature farm and artisan vendors, food and music.

A food truck will offer sliders, tacos and nachos, using beef donated by Caitlyn Farms, and fresh pressed apple cider donated by TK Family Farms in Green Creek will be served. Live music will be provided by The Paper Crowns and Accentrix.

This family-friendly event will also feature a silent auction of items donated by local artists and businesses.

Foothills Farm to Fork Trail was formed as a 501(c)3 organization to initiate, develop and expand agritourism in the region and provide access to products necessary for preparing seasonal menus. It helps nurture local farms, dairies, wineries, orchards and other value-adding producers while providing opportunities for youth “Farm to Fork” internships, scholarships and employment in the Carolina Foothills.

The Sliders and Cider Fundraiser and Holiday Market will take place at the Caitlyn Farms Event Center, located at 286 A.R. Thompson Rd in Mill Spring, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, email info@caitlynfarms.com.
