As cold and flu season returns, a local church is turning its attention to the remarkable properties of herbs. A free Immune Boosting Workshop will be held on Friday, October 27, at 6 p.m., at the G. Riddle Banquet Hall of Zion Grove Church.

The workshop will focus on elderberry and other immune-boosting herbs and will also allow attendees to make their own pine cough syrup and elderberry extract. All supplies will be provided.

This workshop will be led by herbalist and master gardener Cecelia Miller and sponsored by the Unity in the Community organization.
