LANDRUM—The City of Landrum was temporarily without power on Friday. Power was restored as of 5 p.m., according to Duke Power’s website.

As of 3:40 p.m. on Friday, October 20, a power outage was affecting businesses and residents in Landrum. Traffic lights were not functioning, causing confusion for some drivers.

A message from Duke Power to a business owner in Landrum said that approximately 1,449 customers lost power, and the outage was caused by fallen trees.
