Polk County opened Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Tournament play Monday with a home sweep of R-S Central.

The Wolverines cruised to a 25-14, 25-12, 25-11 victory, earning a berth in Tuesday’s semifinal. Polk County, the tourney’s second seed, will host third-seeded East Rutherford in a 5 p.m. match.

Sophia Overholt had 12 kills and seven digs for Polk County (21-2), with Morgan Yoder adding nine kills. Kylie Lewis finished with seven kills while Mia Bradley had five.

Elena Carroll had 12 digs and four aces, with Hayden Blackwell and Ada Kelley each posting nine digs.

Zaelea Eller recorded 28 assists, including the 1,000th of her career, and Charley Dusenbury added 12.
