VOLLEYBALL: Polk continues end-of-season momentum with sweep of Chase

Polk County continued to build momentum for the end of the season, rolling Thursday to a sweep of Chase in Forest City.

The Wolverines romped to a 25-18, 25-11, 25-12 victory, improving their record to 19-1 overall, 9-1 in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matches. Chase is now 9-8, 2-8.

Sophia Overholt had nine kills and 11 digs for Polk County, with Morgan Yoder adding eight kills and six digs and Ada Kelley providing eight kills and 13 digs.

Kylie Lewis had seven kills, with Mia Bradley recording six kills, seven digs and four aces.

Zaelea Eller had 24 assists and Charley Dusenbury added 13 assists.

Elena Carroll notched 13 digs for the Wolverines, who begin the final regular-season week of play on Tuesday, hosting East Rutherford for a 5:30 p.m. match.
