Polk County continued to march through its Mountain Foothills 7 Conference schedule, powering to a sweep Thursday of R-S Central in Rutherfordton.

The Wolverines notched a 25-12, 25-12, 25-8 victory, upping their record to 17-1 overall, 8-1 in conference play. The Hilltoppers are now 5-14, 1-8.

Mia Bradley paced Polk’s offense with 11 kills, with Ada Kelley recording eight kills and six digs. Sophia Overholt had seven kills and Morgan Yoder added six kills.

Zaelea Eller finished with 22 assists and Charley Dusenbury had 15 assists. Elena Carroll recorded 15 digs.

Yoder and Eller had three aces for Polk County, which will return home Monday to host Asheville Christian Academy in its final non-conference match of the regular season.
