SALUDA—Weather permitting, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close a lane on Interstate 26 East for several nights as part of the Green River Bridge Rehabilitation Project.

A continuous lane closure will be in place from 7 p.m. Sunday, September 24 until 7 p.m. Friday, September 29, allowing crews to construct a barrier wall next to the left eastbound lane on the Green River Bridge, between mile markers 54 and 57.

Overweight and/or oversized tractor-trailers will not be allowed to travel through the lane closure, as the maximum allowed width will be 12 feet. Truck traffic will be detoured from exit 54 (U.S. 25), continuing to I-85 North in Greenville, S.C., and returning to I-26 East.
