VOLLEYBALL: Wolverines continue winning ways with sweep of Cavaliers

Polk County returned to the road Thursday for the first time in two weeks and notched a 3-0 sweep of East Rutherford in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference volleyball play in Bostic.
The Wolverines improved to 13-0 overall, 5-0 in conference play with the 25-16, 25-7, 25-12 victory. The Cavaliers fell to 10-4, 3-3.
Sophia Overholt recorded 16 kills and eight digs for Polk, with Morgan Yoder delivering nine kills, seven digs and five aces. Kylie Lewis had six kills and five digs.
Zaelea Eller had 23 assists, with Charley Dusenbury posting 11 assists. Mia Bradley had 11 digs, with Elena Carroll adding nine digs and Mikala Fisher, Ada Kelley and Hayden Blackwell each recording six.
Polk County will head Tuesday to Brevard for a showdown of MF7 leaders, facing the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m.
