COLUMBUS—A free Healthy Living Talk hosted by the YMCA at the Polk County Library will take place on Thursday, October 5, as part of an ongoing monthly series.

Couples therapist Karen Naegel, LMFTA, will discuss ‘Love & Relationships: A Science-based Approach to Making Your Relationships Better.’ The event is for anyone who wants to work on their romantic relationships, whether they are married, divorced or single.

“When couples experience intense or prolonged periods of stress and strain, it’s not uncommon for them to need help,” says Nagel. “I understand how in relationship distress couples can feel overwhelmed and exhausted from trying to fix their relationship.”

“After many years of schooling and specialization, I feel privileged to support couples in their distressed seasons,” she says. “This is very meaningful work to me, and I feel blessed to be part of it.”

The Healthy Living Talk will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Community Room. Polk County Library is located at 1289 W. Mills St. in Columbus.
