Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Are you ready to rock? The Tryon Fine Arts Center is hosting three Friday night concerts this fall.

The ‘Friday Night Rocks’ shows will be a great opportunity to enjoy local musicians who write, record and perform their own music, in TFAC’s outdoor amphitheater.

The first concert, on ‘Fourth Friday,’ September 22, will feature Solvivor. Based in Asheville, the band features Ian Harrod, who has lived and performed in Polk County for many years. You can find information about Solvivor and check out their postmodern blues rock music and videos at solvivor.net.

The second concert, on Friday, October 13, will feature Mercury Rising, with members from Saluda and Tryon. You can check their soulful Americana and blues-tinged music at https://m.facebook.com/profile.php/?id=100067642929635.

The final show of the series will feature the Rich Nelson Band, on ‘Fourth Friday,’ October 27. This Tryon-based rock trio has released five albums to date, and they have been playing all over the area since 2018. You can find music, videos, and info at RichNelsonBand.com.

All performances will begin at 7 p.m., and you can get $10 tickets from the Tryon Fine Arts Center ahead of time or at the gate. In case of inclement weather, the shows may be moved indoors or postponed.
