The third time was a charm for Marilyn Doheny and Linda Watts at last week’s Foothills Duplicate Bridge Club games. They scored 61.90 percent and won the Thursday morning game in only their third outing as a partnership. 

Runner-up honors accrued to Sandra Parker and Teenie Elliott, 60.12 percent, followed by Elaine Cole and Tom Adkins, 58.33, and Amelia Duquette and Deborah Bundy, 54.17. It was Deborah’s first visit to the club since 2011. Welcome back!

Thursday afternoon, Aug. 31

Linda Sherer and Chip Boyle, 66 percent; Don Eifert and Sally Jo Carter, 60; Amelia Duquette and Gail Benke, 47.

 

Friday, Sept. 1

Vicki and Bill McCartha, 62.01; Linda Sherer and Helen Clement, 58.47.

And at the Saluda Mountain DBC on Monday, Aug. 28, Judy Haney and Lisa Elmore won in the East-West with 57 percent, ahead of Keith Dozier and Tom Adkins, 55.5. John and Pam Rush took North-South honors with 53 percent, slipping by Bill Norteman and Tollie Ross, 52.
