Catina Gray, president of the Foothills Chamber of Commerce, visited the Rotary Club of Tryon last week to talk about their upcoming event – Feed The Foothills.  

Gray explained this will be the third year the Chamber holds the Feed the Foothills food drive in conjunction with the Harmon Filed Music Festival. This year’s event will be held at Harmon Field on Saturday, September 23 from 2 to 7 p.m.

Feed the Foothills, Gray explained, was designed as a food drive to help people with food insecurity in our local communities.

This year, the food donated during the event will be distributed to Roseland Community Center in Tryon, Operation Hope in Landrum, Pop Up Pantry in Saluda, Steps to HOPE and

Thermal Belt Outreach.

Rotarian Megan Conner, Manager of the Old Mill Market Square, joined Gray at the meeting.  Old Mill Market Square will host the Foothills Chamber of Commerce August Business After Hours event on August 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
