Come learn about our solar system and deep space beyond. Planets, supernovas and galaxies will be revealed! Explore our galactic neighborhood, close to home and millions of light years away. Explore our earth’s climate and the planets of our solar system, and uncover techniques used to observe other parts of the galaxy in an effort to learn more about how our own sun and planets came into being. Travel 4.5 billion years into the past, when our sun was born, up to the current day of our planet Earth.

Located in Rosman, N.C., the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute is a nonprofit dedicated to STEM education and space science outreach. A former NASA site that was originally built in the 1960s as a secret base for satellite technology development, the site is now open to all as PARI hosts public and private events, tours, open houses, summer camps, field trips and more.
