The Tryon Country Club Men’s Golf Association Played a “Texas Scramble” on Monday, July 31, along with closest-to-the-pin contests on both par 3s. The scores were close except for two teams who played extremely well. The results were as follows:

 

1st place – Jerry Pospisil, Jim Shirley, Bill Kelly, Art Brown – 23

 

2nd place – John Schickling, Tom Murdoch, Tommy Richardson, Charles McKeller – 23

 

3rd place – Brad Rakow, Jim Diggs, John Lyons, (BP)Bill Basye – 27

 

4th place – Doug Gelbert, Tom Bolling, Dave Hosick, John House – 28
