The 12th Man Kickoff Celebration for Polk County High School football will be held on August 12 at Caitlyn Farms in Mill Spring.

The annual event, sponsored by the 12th Man Club, will run from 6 to 9:30 p.m. A $100 donation admits two adults, and tickets can be purchased at Mountain View BBQ or Wolverine Pizza in Columbus.

Admission includes entry into a drawing for a $1,000 cash prize as well as other door prizes, food and drinks. Live music will be provided by Johnny Edney and Friends.

Polk County head coach Dustin Fry will also offer a preview of the upcoming season.

Funds raised from the event will help purchase new safety equipment for the football program, especially shoulder pads, as well as assist with other expenses.
