COLUMBUS—The Town of Columbus has lifted the boil water advisory it issued this week after a water leak occurred Tuesday. It is no longer necessary to boil tap water.
Water customers may use tap water for all purposes, including cooking and drinking, and are asked to run their cold water taps for 10 minutes to replace water sitting in pipes with fresh water from the main.
If water is used to flush the toilet, shower or wash hands, this action is not necessary.
