Saluda attraction named in a list of top aerial adventure parks

 

SALUDA—The Gorge Zipline in Saluda was recently ranked as one of the ten best aerial adventure parks in the nation, according to a poll by USA Today.

The Saluda attraction made the list at number nine in USA Today’s “10 Best Aerial Adventure Parks.”

USA Today asked a panel of experts to nominate their favorite aerial adventure parks in the United States, and the ranking was chosen by readers. Factors included scenery, safety, length and experience with staff.

The Gorge features 11 ziplines, three rappels and a sky bridge.

“This one-of-a-kind experience begins on the rim of the Green River Gorge. From there you will take the plunge deep into the wilderness,” said Melanie Day of WBAV in Charlotte.

Another N.C. attraction, Go Ape of Blue Jay Point County Park in Raleigh, was ranked seventh on the list. The Redwood Sky Walk of Eureka, Calif., was awarded the number one spot.
