Daniel Kellan Mayfield, 35 of Boiling Springs, who was the youth pastor at First Baptist Church of Gowensville in Landrum, was arrested and charged with voyeurism.

Approximately around 2:47 a.m., Greenwood County deputies responded to a civil disturbance call on Harbor Cove Road. Upon arriving, deputies spoke with the victim who claimed to have seen a light outside the bathroom window of her mother’s house while she was taking a shower.

The victim then went outside to discover Mayfield standing in the backyard.

According to the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Mayfield ran from the scene after the victim’s sister arrived and shined her vehicle’s headlights towards the side of the house where Mayfield was standing.

The victim and her sister confronted Mayfield, who initially denied standing outside the window but later admitted to taking a video of the victim while she showered. The victim gained access to Mayfield’s phone and saw the video of her showering.

While deputies talked to Mayfield alone, he also confessed that the video was on his phone.

Mayfield was terminated on the day of his arrest from his position at First Baptist Church of Gowensville, where he worked as youth pastor for the last seven years.
