Saluda man arrested on multiple charges of cruelty to animals

SALUDA–A Saluda man was arrested on multiple counts of cruelty to animals earlier this week.
On Tuesday, May 23, Kevin Lamont Spears, 58 of Saluda, was charged with 6 counts of cruelty to animals and 5 counts of abandonment of an animal.
Spears was booked into Polk County Detention Center and is currently being held on a $15,000 secured bond.
Spears’ next court appearance is scheduled for June 14.
