The return of an annual event to celebrate spring in the Foothills was recently announced.
Go Fly a Kite Day will take place on Sunday, May 21 at FENCE. The kite-flying event will take place from 12 to 3 p.m. on Hawk’s Ridge, which is located behind the FENCE Center.
This event is free for the community with snacks and drinks provided for all. Free kites will be provided for the first 200 children.
Go Fly a Kite Day is a community favorite that invites all to spend the afternoon outside with family and friends. Organizers are hoping for warm weather, sunny skies, and windy kite-flying weather for the event. Attendees are encouraged to explore FENCE before or after the event; hike the trails, have a picnic, or play in the woods. There is much to explore!
This event is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation.
FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon, North Carolina. For more information about this or upcoming events visit our website www.fence.org, email info@fence.org, or call 828-859-9021.
