Another day, another triumph for Polk County’s boys golf team.

The Wolverines had four players shoot 40 or better Tuesday to win a nine-hole match with East Henderson at Tryon Country Club.

Polk finished with a team score of 154, besting the Eagles’ total of 204.

Evan Jones led the way for Polk with a 1-over-par 37, just ahead of Casey Beiler’s 38, Reilly Yoder’s 39 and Avery Harden’s 40.

Other Wolverines competing Tuesday included Jacob Morgan (57), Will Dotson (59), Jaden Chupp (60) and Dalton Dotson (63).

Hunter Poturaj led East Henderson with a 45.

Polk County is back in action next Tuesday, traveling to Hendersonville Country Club for a match with all Mountain Foothills 7 Conference schools.
