Polk County Middle School eighth-grader Rocco Quoyle recently earned three medals at the Newbreed Jiu Jitsu Federation American Cup competition in Greenville.

 

Quoyle finished with a goal medal in the Youth 2, No-Gi Co-Ed Division, competing in the 12-13/Beginner/Cruiserweight bracket. In the championship match, he scored a 2-0 win over Evan Matthews of Creighton MMA.

 

Quoyle also earned silver medals in two divisions:

 

• Youth 2, No-Gi Co-Ed Division, competing in the 12-13 / Beginner / Heavyweight
• Youth 2, Gi Co-Ed Division, competing in the 12-13/White or Grey W/White/Cruiserweight

 

Quoyle is a red belt student at Revolution Martial Arts in Boiling Springs.`
