Studio will double its space, offer more classes
TRYON-Foothills Movement is growing to offer more space and services.
The yoga, pilates, and barre studio located at 70 Pacolet St. in Suite B in Tryon has leased the space just below it. The new section of the studio, located at 31 Depot Street, will be known as Studio 31. The original location will remain a dedicated pilates studio, while Studio 31 will be intended for group classes.
Founder Fanina Padykula moved to Columbus from Portland, Ore., 2 years ago, where she began teaching pilates in Hendersonville and yoga at Steps to HOPE and Lake Lure Yoga. Over time, Padykula had enough of a following to start her own studio in Tryon.
As demand and popularity rose, Foothills Movement’s space proved to be under accommodating. The expansion will allow Padykula to go from offering 11 classes on their schedule to 20 classes per week, including a mix of barre, yoga, pilates and dance with some beginner-friendly classes, as well as more invigorating and intense classes. Padykula’s 6-year-old daughter, Ellie, said she’s especially excited for the new series “Kids Yoga + Intuitive Play”, intended for children aged 4-8, on Fridays at 3:30 p.m.
“As a studio owner, I hope that Foothills Movement will be a gathering space that feels welcoming to bodies of all shapes and sizes,” Padykula said of her goal to serve the community. She also stated that she hopes clients feel that the studio is “a home away from home and where they can connect with other like-minded people interested in wellness and improving their well-being.”
Padykula hopes to have Studio 31 operational for classes on March 20. All class descriptions, pricing and a revamped schedule can be found at www.FoothillsMovement.com. Further information can be found by contacting (828) 440-0177.
